I use alignment-based Purna Yoga, an ancient practice, to address your modern day needs. Together we work on spiritual connection, physical ailments, overall health, fitness, and wellness. Clients come seeking help and find the tools and support needed to begin making and integrating changes into their lives. I am an E-RYT 500, currently the highest level of national certification for yoga teachers in the U.S.
Studying under the tutelage of Aadil Palkhivala (former Iyengar Yoga teacher), I received a 500-Hour Yoga Teacher’s Certificate in 2009. I received my Master’s in Systems Psychology from LIOS Graduate College of Saybrook University and a Master’s Degree from Cornell University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State and a certified Purna Yoga Teacher from the College of Purna Yoga.
I work with teenagers, adults, and couples interested in a mind-body-spirit approach to counseling. We are not our minds alone and should treat more than just our thoughts. Our bodies and spirit or energy experience as much as our minds and hold onto past experiences. Incorporating mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and spirituality into psychotherapy treats all of you, not just your mind.
“Fortunately, Rachel was one of my first yoga teachers. Her kindness, gentle spirit and knowledge have contributed greatly to my continuing with yoga these past two and a half years.” Donna H., Yoga Student
